Becky Kurtz
Becky Kurtz is a native of Erie, PA and has called Tulsa home for the last 6 years. In her early career, she worked in the healthcare and financial service industries before finding her passion in education and the nonprofit space. Becky earned a B.A. Communication Arts with a concentration in Journalism from Gannon University in Erie, PA (Go Knights!). Tulsa is the fourth city Becky and her family have resided in. She loves running on the Midland Valley Trail, catching a show at Cain’s Ballroom, watching an FC Tulsa match with her kiddos, and grabbing a cup of coffee at one of the many local coffee shops. But the one thing unique to Tulsa that continues to draw her in is the people!
Becky Kurtz is a native of Erie, PA and has called Tulsa home for the last 6 years. Throughout college and her early career, Becky interned in the higher ed space at Gannon University and SUNY Buffalo State University, as well as in media with several hometown radio stations before starting her early career in the healthcare and financial service industries. Through experience and opportunities, Becky found her passion in education and the nonprofit space and joined the Early Career team in 2021 as the Program Coordinator for Tulsa Service Year. Becky earned a B.A. Communication Arts with a concentration in Journalism from Gannon University in Erie, PA (Go Knights!).
Becky has learned from every moment throughout her internship and early career experiences. She gained valuable insights and skills that have helped tremendously in her current role as Operations Manager, where she creates and oversees systems and processes that are used on a daily basis throughout Campus Tulsa & Tulsa Service Year.
In her spare time, she enjoys baking (cookies & bread are her specialty), running, a good dance party, and spending time with friends and family. She is actively involved in her kiddos elementary school, and volunteers regularly with its’ PTA and Foundation.
